Hi Lingbayers, I hope your site will flourish!

A suggestion about the profile for freelancers: For transcription skills one has to enter a source and a target language. I am not sure what you had in mind, but usually "transcription" would denote the passage from spoken language to written language (maybe also vice versa). It makes much more sense to have this skill related to a single language.

If someone wants e.g. to have spoken Portuguese transformed into written German I can of course do that by transforming it into written Portuguese and then translating that into written German. I could also do it directly, but that will be irrelevant for the customer.

If I had added all possible source and target languages for transcriptions I would have ended up with more than 40 language skills in my profile, which may sound impressive, but is just confusing for someone who looks at it. I guess that you arranged this option as it is because you want to automatically match freelancer's skills with the requirements for jobs. My suggestion is that you associate transcription to a single language and then, for transcription jobs, let the software match single language transcription skills PLUS the translation skills.

All the best,

Peter
