Lingbay News

  • Lingbay Launch!

We are exited to announce the launch of lingbay.com. Here are the news:

    Online translation editor
As one of our endeavours to support the linguistic community we are launching a free online translation editor: http://editor.lingbay.com. The editor has build-in suggestions of words as you type, quick wikipedia, google, and dictionary lockup. Currently it supports raw text and is directly linked to the Lingbay website. Our future goals are to allow independent access from any website or direct upload and to support multiple files formats such as xml, Word (doc), WordPress (POT), etc. If you know of any widely used localization formats that you'd like us to include then do let us know.

    Early adopters
As an introductory benefit we are currently giving buyers an opportunity to post free job postings until January 1st, 2012. After the initial period of free postings we plan to award new buyers 10 free job postings before subscription is required.
Freelancers (translators) on the other hand will always have free access to the site.

    New jobs
If you haven't received notification about the new jobs on Lingbay then come by and have a look. In addition, new jobs will be added gradually so be sure to setup email notification on your registered account to get instant, daily, or weekly notifications.

  • Hi early adopters

In this first beta round we focus on getting as many freelancers registered as possible so that the site has the capacity to complete linguistic jobs as they arrive.

We have posted jobs that are related to Lingbay or its parent company Lunarmedia in order to test the functionality and general workflow. We are ready to make changes to the system so that every process is optimized and let us know what you think - we listen! We keep improving the site.

We are proud and excited to see the site live! And its great to see you here.

Buyers that need some text translated will benefit from free job postings until 1 Jan, 2012.  For freelancers the site will always be completely free.

You can register as a linguistic freelancer or a buyer posting jobs.
